I love it when I get to find out new things about my husband. I know that he doesn't mind dancing. I didn't realize that he is so fond of line dancing. (It's kind of funny, as I've never been that big into line dancing). Our ward had a "Decades Dance" with lots of fun music and decorations. It was so much fun. Even though I had a hard time deciding what to wear.

Happy, Happy Birthday
For James' birthday we had some friends over for cheese and chocolate fondue. Very yummy! We definitely need to do that again sometime. Our plans Saturday with the kids didn't turn out as we had hoped, but we still had fun playing and sharing fun things about James/Dad. I'm so lucky to have such a handsome hubby! :-)

FAQs
A: June 16, 2012
Q: Where are
you getting married?
A: Mount Timpanogos Temple, in American Fork, Utah. The wedding ceremony will be kept
small. Select friends and family will
receive information on the details regarding our sealing. Additional family and friends are invited to
the reception that evening at the Stevenson residence at: 645 E 800 S Orem, Utah
84097.
Q: Why are you getting married in Utah? Why Mount Timpanogos?
A: Although both the bride and the groom live in the Washington, D.C. area, the majority of their family lives in the west. Although the bride's parents live in Las Vegas, her immediate family is spread out and she has a lot of extended family in Utah Valley. The bride lived near the Mount Timpanogos temple when it was being constructed in 1996. The groom's family is mostly in Idaho, and Utah is fairly close for them as well.
Q: Where will you be living?
A: The groom will be moving in with the bride to her residence in Alexandira.
Q: What should
I wear to the Utah Reception?
A: The bride,
groom, and family will be dressed up, so you definitely won’t be out of place
if you wear Sunday best. It will an
outdoor reception. Please dress for the
weather, and be mindful that you will be walking on grass.
Q: What should
I wear to the Virginia Reception?
A: The bride
and groom will be in their wedding attire, so you definitely won’t be out of
place if you wear Sunday best. It will
an indoor reception, but at a location along the Potomac with a great view.
Q: I am so
excited to celebrate with the bride and the groom. Are you registered anywhere?
A: Why thank you! It’s really not about the gifts, but of
course that is nice too. We are
registered with both Amazon.com and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We request that Utah guests consider having
their gifts shipped directly to the bride and groom’s residence in
Virginia. Gift cards or money are easily
transportable and can help contribute to those bigger ticket items. Note that items on the Amazon.com registry can be purchased anywhere, and can simply be marked as fulfilled at Amazon.com Unique gift ideas, such as a boat charter to
the Chesapeake Light Tower are also welcome.
Q: Have you always wanted to put together your
own frequently asked questions page for a blog?
A: Why yes, yes I have. It’s been a life-long dream. Seriously, it’s true that I am doing this
because I kind of like it!
Q: Where are
these frequently asked questions coming from?
A: Let’s be honest. The bride came up with most of them!

In Alexandria
If you will be visiting the Alexandria area for the day or the weekend, may we suggest the following attractions:Jones Point Lighthouse
Just south of the Wildrow Wilson Bridge (495) in Alexandria, the park should be reopened in time to see this historic river lighthouse. Don't miss the marker for the original corner of DC. (Free)
Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve
The trail along the Potomac is accessible from the Belle Haven Marina - just south of Old Town Alexandria. (Free)
Historic Mount Vernon
Less than 2 miles from our reception location, Mount Vernon is the estate of our first president, Geore Washington. There is a fee for admission - $15/adults or $25 for an annual pass.
Fort Washington Lighthouse
Fort Washington is actually across the river from Alexandria, in Fort Washington, Maryland. It's worth the trip if you have the time. Views are also available from the George Washington Parkway near Fort Hunt Road.
